Sylvia Louise McKee, loving wife of Paul E. McKee Jr, peacefully passed away in her sleep, on September 11th 2024.  Paul and Sylvia shared 67 years together.   Sylvia is the loving mother of Dennis McKee (Suzette), Cynthia Armstrong and Michael McKee (Loretta). 

Sylvia was preceded in death by Douglas McKee, her youngest son, Wayne Armstrong, her son-in-law and Natalie McKee her granddaughter.

She was Grandma to Amberlie Price (Derek), Yasmin Johnston, Kaitlyn Barager (Paul), Alexander McKee, Jessica McKee and Vincent McKee.

She was Great-Grandma to Logan Price, Harrison Price, Kadin Johnston, Kai Johnston, Avery Barager and Cameron Barager.

Sylvia also had many Grandchildren of the heart that she loved dearly.

Sylvia loved to cook.  She was a member of the local Gourmet Club.  She instilled her love of cooking in her family members.  Many successful recipes have been handed down through the generations.  Along with the tradition of burning the rolls.

Paul and Sylvia enjoyed spending family time up north at the lake in Harrison.  Sylvia’s happy place was on the deck watching over the peaceful waters.  She loved boat rides and swimming.  She insisted that her grand children will learn to swim and took them to swim class.  Sylvia was informed that her grandchildren CAN swim – although, it’s not pretty.  

Sylvia and Paul loved to travel.  Their many adventures included trips to Hawaii, Caribbean cruises, exploring Europe both on foot and multiple river cruises.  Sylvia’s next adventure has begun. 

Sylvia’s viewing will take place Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 11 am until the time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church,  23815 Power Rd, Farmington, MI 48336.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
