Steven Leonard Kaberline

Steven “Steve” Leonard Kaberline was a caring husband, father, brother, and friend. Steve was born on March 8, 1952 and passed away on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at age 71 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy.

After graduating from Nebraska University, forever a proud Cornhusker, Steve chased his dream and went on to become a Research Scientist for Ford Motor Company for 35 years. He had a passion for science, golf, archery, glasswork— and making those around him laugh.

Steve is survived by his wife, Paula; children, Jeff and Sarah (Will); stepchildren, Bryan, Matthew (Kristen), and Kyle; brother, Kevin (Cherie); 5 grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Alex, Jacob, James; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Leonard, his mother Betty, and his sister Carolyn. Above all, Steve loved his family and he will forever be in their hearts.

A viewing will be hosted at the Thayer-Rock Funeral Home located at 33603 Grand River Ave, Farmington, MI 48335 on Friday, December 22 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with a service to follow there on Saturday at 11:00am. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or a no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
