Sheilagh Ann Pressly, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away on June 4, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born on March 6, 1947, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, to George and Iris Wallace
Beloved wife of John for 59 years. Loving mother of the late David Pressly and Candice Lazzarotti. Dear Granny of Noah Lazzarotti. Cherished sister of Jean (Ian) Paget.
Sheilagh shared a beautiful love story with her husband, John, that began 63 years ago. When they first met, John quickly captured her heart and continued to do so throughout their lifetime together. Their marriage was an inspiration to all who knew them, reflecting the enduring power of love, commitment, and mutual respect.
Relationships meant a great deal to Sheilagh. One of her most cherished roles was that of Granny. She shared a special bond with Noah, built on deep love, understanding, and a connection that brought great happiness to them both. She was also devoted to her sister, Jean, with whom she shared a lifelong friendship. Though the miles separated them, their bond remained strong, sustained by love, support, and companionship throughout the years.
Among Sheilagh's greatest joys was spending time with family and friends, opening her home for countless memorable celebrations. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome. A gifted cook and gracious host, she delighted in bringing people together around her table, making sure that all who entered her home felt cared for and well fed.
She especially enjoyed spending her summers outdoors, tending to her beautiful garden and golfing whenever she could. A passionate golfer, Sheilagh cherished not only the game itself but also the lasting friendships it brought into her life.
Sheilagh leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and grace. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
