She was an optician for 30 years and owner of Homestead Optical in New Hudson Michigan until semi-retirement where she chose to stay active managing an apartment complex.
Sandra had many interests and hobbies over the years including politics, NASCAR, football, hockey, baseball, singing, painting, crafts and travel.
Of the greatest importance were her animals. All Gods creatures in need or just showing up and deciding to stay we’re taken in cared for and given a name. It was no surprise when “Little Guy” was chosen until a permanent name was given. If “Little Guy” was given, we all knew they were staying. She would go to great lengths caring for any animal, including providing the neighborhood squirrels with peanut butter toast three times a day.
She had a great sense of humor and knew just how to push all the buttons. Having no problem letting you know when you were acting a fool. She loved you with her whole heart through thick and thin.
She will be missed by many.
No services will be held.
