Ruth Ann Smith of Southfield, Michigan. passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Allen Smith.  Loving mother of daughters Vanessa Smith, Amber (Mike) Miller, Kristen (Sam) Hanlon, and Lauren Smith. Cherished grandmother of Jade, Mark (Gwen), Natalie, Michael Jr., Seth, Raven, Sophia, Jaxson, Wyatt, and Rozlyn. Great-grandmother of Mason and Addison. Sister to Steven DeVries (deceased), David DeVries (deceased), Louise Newton, Mary Gabries, and Judy (Bob) Krebaum. She will be deeply missed by all.

Ruth worked in food service in the Redford School District. But her real passion was taking care of her family. She also loved gardening, arts and crafts, reading, and a wide variety of projects around her home. In life, Ruth requested a memorial gathering at hers and Marks favorite place with her girls and their families. A date will be chosen in the future to fulfill this wish. She will be remembered lovingly by all who knew her.
