Robert "Bob" Rehn Obituary

Robert "Bob" Rehn of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away April 15, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born January 10, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Robert and Mary Rehn. Bob lived a full and loving life, surrounded by family and friends. His dedication to his family, his positive attitude, and his ability to make lasting memories with those he loved are truly inspiring.  He had a positive, warm attitude through his final days.

Bob started his life in Cincinnati, Ohio living with his parents and brother and sister.  He was a typical spoiled first child growing up causing mischief with his brother Mike.  From the beginning, family time was important including time with his grandparents.  He would tell many stories of his travels with Granny and Gramps Geisler.  Bob married his high school sweetheart, Judy, at the young age of 19.  Bob and Judy then built a life for themselves moving from Cincinnati to Baltimore with the U.S. Coast Guard then later moving to Michigan with his job with Ford Motor Company.  They became members of the Farmington First United Methodist Church, where Bob was very active in various committees, men’s club, fundraisers, ushers, or wherever he was needed.  Bob and Judy have many close friends that have become family throughout the years.  Bob was truly a “girl dad”. He was with Lisa and Krissy every step of the way throughout their school years attending school swim and band events as well as assisting in the building of Krissy’s high school homecoming floats.  Bob quickly became a Bronco and Spartan when Lisa and Krissy attended college but never forgot about his Cincinnati Bearcats. Family vacations were also very important to Bob where he would bring and fly his kite.  Many memories were made with family and friends vacationing in various spots, among them being Myrtle Beach, Aruba and Houghton Lake. Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren and will always be their biggest fan and so proud of their achievements.  Bob faced his Parkinson's diagnosis with incredible strength and determination, continuing to enjoy golf, running, and biking for as long as he could. In more recent times, sharing breakfast or lunch with his close friends and his monthly gatherings with the "Ford Guys" brought a special spark to his days. He was truly fortunate to have cherished friendships that spanned years, a loyal network who offered unwavering support and companionship. And as anyone who knew him well can attest, Bob always appreciated a good glass of Jack Daniels, or really any fine bourbon!

Bob was the loving husband of Judith for 57 years. Cherished father of Lisa (Nathan) Lewis, and Krissy (Chad) Campbell.  Beloved grandfather of Maxwell, Abigail, Brooklyn, and Maddison. Dear brother of Michael (Barbara) Rehn, and Marysue (Jack) Bostle. Robert is also survived by Aunt Joan Trame, many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.  Memorial visitation Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4-8 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington, Michigan and Friday, May 9, 2025, 10 am until time of memorial service at 11 am at First United Methodist Church of Farmington, 33112 Grand River Ave., Farmington, Michigan.
