Robert Earl Reske (Bob), a cherished longtime resident of Farmington Hills, MI, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 15, 1941, in Detroit, MI, to Earl and Marie Reske, Bob's life was marked by devotion to family, service, and simple joys.

A proud veteran, Bob served his country with honor during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force before his honorable discharge. Following his military service, he began a career at Hudson's, where he met the love of his life, Rita Gillman. They married and built a life together, sharing 56 wonderful years of marriage.

Bob was a loving husband to Rita, a dedicated father to Robert (Jennifer), and a doting grandfather to Bobby. His bond with his twin brother, the late Richard, was profound, and he treasured living close to him throughout their lives.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures — playing the lottery, spending quality time with his family, rooting for local sports teams and sharing laughs with loved ones.

The family will hold a private funeral service to honor Bob’s life. In lieu of flowers, they kindly request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory, supporting veterans in need. Donations can be made online at Wounded Warrior Project.
