Richard “Dick” Muonio, 80, of Livonia, MI went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Dick was born on October 11, 1944 in Gackle, ND to Arnold and Elma (Dormanen) Muonio. He married Marcia Niska on June 26, 1965 in Calumet, MI. They made their home in Livonia where they raised their seven children. Dick spent 42 years with Chrysler Corporation where he was a metallurgical technician.

Dick is survived by his wife Marcia of 59 years, of Livonia; his four sons, Byron (Cami) of Walled Lake, MI, Craig (Krissa) of Kalispell, MT, Paul (Shari) of Battle Ground, WA, and John (Gina) of Battle Ground, WA; two daughters, Sheryl (Tyrel) Granger of Marengo, WI and Debra (Dean) Sarkinen of Montrose, MN., along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Gary (Peggy) Muonio of Mayer, MN, and sisters, Joanne (Gene) Lunzman of Gackle, ND and Arlene (George) Nelson of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald (and Susan Nelson), son Glen and a great granddaughter. 

Dick was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. His children, grandchildren and a multitude of Christian friends were what he enjoyed most in life.

Visitation and the funeral service for Dick will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 34100 W 8 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335 on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4-8 pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11 am with viewing an hour before. The burial service will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery, 34100 Eight Mile Road, Livonia, MI following the funeral.
