Richard R. Rudorffer

Richard R. Rudorffer of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away on March 26, 2023 at the age of 97. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan to the loving parents Richard and Bertha in September of 1925.  Growing up in Detroit, Richard attended Wilbur Wright High School. After graduating, Richard began working as a Processing Engineer at Ford Motor Company for 25 years and was an avid member of the Engineering Society of Detroit. Richard then met the love of his life Noreen. They began dating and were later married in 1951 in Detroit. Together they raised three children Cheryl (George) Berling, Laurel Rudorffer, and James (Nancy) Rudorffer. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Richard, and Bertha Rudorffer, sister Dorothy (Bill) Manthey and his wife Noreen Rudorffer. Throughout his life Richard had many things that brought him joy. Raising children and then later enjoying his grandchildren, Nicole (Steve), Lane, Marc (Kara) Berling and later his four great-grandchildren, Brent, Evan, Addison, and Julia. Richard also had a love for building things and crafting, but nothing came close to his love for the Detroit Lions. The family of Richard would like to thank the staff and residents at American House for their care and their friendship. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11am (In State beginning at 10am) at St John’s Lutheran Church, located 23225 Gill Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48335.  

Burial will take place privately at Glen Eden Memorial Park at a later date.
