Richard K. Hakala, age 74, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Reino and Marie Hakala, and the cherished brother of the late Bill Hakala.
Richard lived a life filled with energy, passion and joy. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and purpose in nature — fishing, biking and cross-country skiing were among his favorite pastimes. He also had a deep love for ballroom dancing and was known for his graceful steps and ever-present smile, both on the dance floor and in daily life. Above all, Richard will be remembered for his warmth, his boundless zest for life and the happiness he brought to everyone who knew him.
