Raghunath Kyalakonda Obituary

Raghunath M. Kyalakonda of Novi passed away Sunday August 8, 2021, at the age of 85.

Born in Salem, India the son of Madhavarao and Kamala Kyalakonda.

He was the beloved husband of Janaki. Having met through family and friends, they got married in 1967 and spent a wonderful 54 years together. He so loved and respected his wife.

Loving father of Kamal (Srinivas) Kulkarni, and Kavitha (Girish Rao) Raghunath. He was always a supportive hero to his daughters. He was an advocate of their success and happiness.

Dear grandfather to Rithvik Rao, Miliana Kulkarni, and Navneeth Rao. Loved brother of Sethu Bai Kyalakonda, Krishna Rao Kyalakonda, Vimala Bai Kyalakonda, Gundu Rao Kyalakonda, Srinivasan Kyalakonda, Keshava Rao Kyalakonda, and Nirmala Bai Kyalakonda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Raghunath was a deeply spiritual man and overcame many hurdles in life. He happily retired from the public works department in India in 1994. He spent his retirement enjoying life. He loved music and sports- specifically tennis, basketball, soccer, and cricket. Raghunath loved spending time with his family, he was a part of everyone’s day to day life. Described as humorous, jovial, and affectionate; his family will miss this great man.
