Peggy Lee (Goodhue) Copland

Peggy Lee Goodhue Copland of Farmington Hills, Michigan, left us unexpectedly on Saturday,
June 15th. 2024 at the age of 69. 

Born in Highland Park on March 11 th , 1955 to Elmore (Jack) and Marian Goodhue she grew up in
Farmington Hills, Michigan, where she attended Harrison High School, graduating in the Class of
1973. Brought home to Farmington Hills and except for different homes here and there, she
came back to her beloved first home for the rest of her life.
Peggy loved her family, her gardens and her work. And though she didn’t go often, she looked
forward to casino outings. Always hoping for a winning ticket, the lottery was fun for her. An
extremely caring and generous person, she was always there for you. She loved to be
surrounded by her family, especially her granddaughters. She was a “fun” Grandma, and
cherished every moment spent with her girls.
Peggy is survived by her beloved husband Gordie, her most loved son Justin (Danielle) Weinger
and her treasured granddaughters Lyla, Lily and Lexi. Sister, Mary Ann Goodhue (Bill Woodruff),
nephew Robert (Brandon) Woodruff and other nephews and a niece. Other family members and
friends and co workers. Special neighbor Lynn and Justin’s Grandmother Marion Weinger. She
also leaves behind her dog Nitro and her cat Copper. How she loved her animal companions.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marsha and Harold Weinger.
We love her and will miss her forever. 

A Memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, June 30th from 1 pm until time of service at 6 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington, MI 48335. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Peggy’s
honor.
