Peggy Connelly Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we announce the passing and memory of Peggy Alice Christmas Connelly, a woman whose kindness, faith, and dedication touched the lives of countless people.

Remembering Peggy Alice Christmas Connelly

Peggy was born on March 19, 1954, to William and Winifred Christmas, joining her brothers Jimmy and Harry in their close-knit British family in Farmington, Michigan. Early years at Clarenceville church sparked in Peggy a lifelong love for serving Christ and others, lessons that shaped her gentle and compassionate spirit.

Peggy’s school years were filled with an inspiring passion for learning. She brought creativity and joy to everything she did. Her deep love for history, geography, and the friendships she cherished formed the foundation of her life, reflecting an open heart and an adventurous spirit that uplifted everyone she met.

After high school, Peggy pursued a career in nursing, but her most cherished role began in 1974 when she married her true love, Tom. Together, they welcomed Patrick and later adopted Kate, forming a loving family. This mentality thrived through adventures in Southern California and 15 years in Saudi Arabia. There, Peggy taught young children and embraced new cultures before the family returned to Florida in the United States.

Back home, Peggy’s passion turned to serving those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. She published training programs, managed dementia care facilities, and was appointed to the Florida Governor’s Committee on Alzheimer’s Disease, making lasting change for families in need. Her deep compassion and dedication to helping others shone through every chapter of her life.

In August 2020, Peggy was diagnosed with colon cancer, facing her illness with courage, faith, and an ever-present warrior spirit. She wished her most significant legacy to be a reminder of the importance of loving and forgiving one another, no matter the circumstance.

As we mourn Peggy’s passing, we honor her by living the values she held dear: love, service, and forgiveness. May her memory be a blessing and a guiding light to us all.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32

Rest in peace, Bunny Rabbit, Cherry Berry Ruchi, Sweet Beautiful Sister,  Peggy. Your impact on the world will be forever felt.

Your love and example will live on in all who knew you.
