Nicholas Zielinski of Farmington Hills passed away early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021.

Born July 30, 1951, in Hamtramck, Michigan, the son of Raymond and Sylvia Zielinski.

Beloved husband of 41 years to Jill; loving father of Robert and Michael (Mandy) Zielinski; caring brother of Anne (John) Marten, Mary Lindow and Joan (Peter) Valentine.

Nick received a Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and went on for his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Michigan, Dearborn. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of service, capping his career by working to further electric vehicle development, and implementation.

He enjoyed woodworking, photography, working on cars, travel, camping, and spending time with his family.  One of his favorite places was the family cottage in Northern Michigan where he spent time in his workshop, and on the lake where he enjoyed boating.

Nick’s family will receive guests at the funeral home Friday, August 20, from 11:00 until the start of his 1:00pm Memorial Service.
