Obituary
Michael (Mike) Kern passed away peacefully on Sunday February 5, 2023 at the age of 74. He was with Dianne, his devoted wife of 50 years. Mike was the oldest of 6 children born to George and Betty Kern of Farmington, Michigan. He is survived by his daughter Rachel, son Matt (Kristina), son Pete (Sarah), and grand-daughter Loren. Mike was an Army veteran, drafted into military service in 1971 and served until 1973, stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas. Mike’s passions included growing award-winning roses and bird watching.
Visitation Saturday February 11, 2023 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home 33603 Grand River, Farmington, Michigan 48335 from 3-8 pm.
Mike will lie in state at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 12-1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm.
Military Honors will be included in the memorial service.
Flowers Appreciated, however memorial contributions in Mike’s honor are suggested to Angela Hospice.
