Meredith Ann Nickol, 64, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on August 16, 2022.
Meredith is survived by husband Daniel Higgins, brother Geoffrey Nickol (Robert Blackford), several brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces and nephews, and several cousins. She is predeceased by her father Henry "Hank" Nickol, mother Marilyn Nickol (nee Kent), and brother Kent "Kip" Nickol. She was the niece of Robert Kent, Betty Clindinning, Gwendolyn McKenzie, the late Irene Hutton, and the late Raymond Nickol. Meredith will be remembered for her sensitivity, intelligence, and loyalty.
Two of her grandparents were born in Finland, and she was proud of her Finnish heritage. She loved to spend time at beautiful Grand Lake in northeast Michigan. Meredith received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MS degree from the University of Detroit in Engineering Management. She then spent her career in the automotive industry, ultimately rising to the positions of Executive Vice President of Sales at Bosch USA and Vice President of Sales at Motorola Automotive.
She will be laid to rest next to her late mother, father, and brother at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan, at a private service attended by family.
