Mary Lou Loreen (Bell) Vargo passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Mary Lou was born October 4, 1930 in Detroit, MIchigan to Thomas and Loreen (Coburn) Bell.
Dear wife of the late William Vargo for 58 years. Beloved mother of Bill (Liz Hennessey) Vargo, Pat Vargo, Tom (Mardi) Vargo and Marie (Bob) Airoldi. Loving grandmother of Claire, Glen, Greg and Ashley. Cherished great-grandmother of Mia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Loreen Bell.
Mary Lou worked as a part-time key punch operator for Ceridian for many years. In her spare time Mary Lou loved to sew, she will be remembered for her hand-made bears that she made for children at the local hospitals. She loved angels and had a beautiful collection. She looked forward to meeting her sisters every month for lunch. Mary Lou loved to spend every moment possible with her children and grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 23815 Power Rd, Farmington 48336 on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00am.
The family is requesting donations be made to Father Solanus Soup Kitchen, American Red Cross, or the Wounded Warriors Project in lieu of flowers.
