Mary Ann Raisanen, of Commerce Township, passed away January 30, 2026. She was born May 8, 1936, to Otto and Sylvia (Schroderus) Heinonen.
Loving mother to Carol (Jeff) Slusher and Keith Raisanen and mother-in-law to Cyndi Raisanen; caring sister to Doris Kennedy, and sister-in-law to Joanne Heinonen and Linda Heinonen; beloved grandmother to Laura, Elizabeth, Nathan, Taryn, Joseph, Tiffany, and Jessica; dear great-grandmother to Addison, Owen, Jacob, Sarah, Adela, and Oliver; she will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Mary Ann Raisanen is predeceased by her parents; her siblings Edward, Arlene, Sandra, and Raymond; her husband Arnie; and her sons Kenneth and Kevin.
Mary Ann was proud of her Finnish heritage. She enjoyed restoring dolls and collecting antiques. Mary Ann radiated joy and positivity; she lived her life as an example of how to love and care for others.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 6 from 3:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM, at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335.
Memorial donations may be made to the Finnish Center Association or Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church.
