Marcella Olga Dzmelyk

Marcella Dzmelyk of Farmington Hills passed away February 23, 2023 at the age of 91.  She was born November 10, 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Wasyl and Stefanie Malaniak.  Beloved wife of the late Samuel.  Loving mother of Brian Dzmelyk.  Dearest grandmother of Erica (Jeremy) Wells and Kelly Dzmelyk.  Dear great-grandmother of Hailey and Scarlett.  Sister of Marie (the late Stefan) Rokoszak and Michael (Chris) Malaniak.  Sister-in-law of Stella Malaniak and JoAnne Malaniak.  Marcella was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Dorothy (Joseph) Sostack, Eugene Malaniak, and Edward Malaniak.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Visitation Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 3-8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335.  Instate Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd., Farmington, Michigan 48336.  Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
