Lucille Eleanor Chappell of Farmington, Michigan passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at age 95
Born March 20, 1927 in Farmington, Michigan, the daughter of Hans Frederick and Mathilde (Holm) Jorgensen.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Schriber; loving mother of Janice (James) Fredericks; proud grandmother of Lindsay Fredericks, Sarah Fredericks and the late Michael Fredericks; caring sister of the late Arnold (Alice) Jorgensen, the late Metha (Stewart) Coe and the late Agnes (James) Henderson. She also leaves behind her loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Lucille loved travel, camping, and spending time with family. Lucille was known by many, receiving the City of Farmington Service Award, 20 years of service at the Civic Theatre. She held one of the first gym memberships at Fitness 10, often seen on the treadmill or bike. She enjoyed Saturday mornings at the farmers market. Always front row for concerts and parades in Downtown Farmington. She never missed a dance recital, skating competition or swim meets at the glen in the summer. Known as Grams, you would always see her at Farmington High School sporting events of her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.
She will also be missed dearly by her best friend Ceile Nitkiewicz of Farmington.
Lucille’s family will receive guests on Friday, April 1, 2-8pm at the funeral home.
Lucille’s funeral service is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 2, at 10:00 am also at the funeral home.
A procession to Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens will follow her service.
Memorial donations in memory of Lucille maybe directed to VFW or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
