Lorraine Buell, of Southfield passed away November 19, 2024 surrounded by her family at the age of 97.  She was born June 23, 1927 in Miracle, Kentucky to Levi and Bessie Lee.Devoted wife of the late Leonard Sr. for 56 years.  Loving mother of Garry (Janice), Joey (June), John, Lorri (Larry) Bemis and the late Leonard Jr. (Betty).  Cherished grandmother of Christina (Dion) Halibozek, Jennifer (Jason) Haskamp, Lorin Buell, Mary Jo (Katey), Austin Buell and Hope Bemis.  Dear great-grandmother of many. 

An excellent cook, Lorraine was well known for her Roast Beef, Biscuits & Gravy and Pintos & Cornbread. Her keen eye for fashion and love for shopping made her a familiar face at 12 Oaks mall, where her presence always brought a smile to those who knew her. She also loved to clean and decorate her home. She always loved talking with friends and family while recounting stories of days gone by.

We will always remember Lorraine for her determination, kindness, loyalty and the love she shared with all who knew her as she epitomized love, faith and strength.  As we cherish the memories of her vibrant spirit. May her laughter and love live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Lorraine.  Services will be private.
