Karon Faye Tolhurst

Karon Faye Tolhurst of Novi, Michigan passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 80. Karon was born on March 6, 1944, in Fremont, Ohio to Gordon and Alice Tolhurst.

Loving mother of David Chrzan and cherished sister of the late Karol Tolhurst. She grew up surrounded by loved ones and a deep passion for family. An alumnus of Fremont Ross High School, Karon's love for her community and those in need led her to work at four different hospice centers, where her selfless dedication was appreciated by the patients. Beyond her professional pursuits, Karon had a special love for animals and cherished the companionship they offered her throughout her life.

She dedicated her life to working in the medical-hospice field, touching the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. She found solace and inspiration in her faith, being an active member of the Freemont Church of the Nazarene and later the Connection Church in Canton, Michigan.

Throughout her journey, Karon forged a lifelong friendship with Karen Sorg, her elementary school best friend, with whom she shared countless memories and laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those in need. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 3-8 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington, MI  48335.
