Joyce Loreen Madsen of West Bloomfield passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at age 87.

Born October 13, 1925, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of the late Errola and Dorothy Crager.

Beloved wife of the late Fred Madsen; loving mother of Fred Jr. and the late Christopher; proud grandmother of two grandsons, a granddaughter in-law and one granddaughter, Drew, Troy (Rachel) and Kaitlyn; caring sister of the late Bruce Crager and the late Bonnie Crager; niece Debbie Todd and nephew Curtis Cretal.

Her love for life, family, and for others, her willingness to teach, guide, mentor and show compassion to those around her. Her genuine friendship with those who she held close will be missed but never forgotten. She considered herself so blessed and was so proud to have been allowed to be a part of so many people’s lives, be it family or friend.

Joyce will be laid to rest privately at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan, with family and close friends in attendance.
