John Whitson of Farmington Hills passed away Thursday August 11 peacefully at home at age 85.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Beverly. Beloved father of Michael and Dennis Whitson. Father-in-law to Vicki Whitson. Brother to Audrey Kovan and the Late Robert Whitson, Richard Whitson. Loving grandpa to Nicole Klimmek and Carl Whitson. Great grandpa to Madison and Audrey Klimmek. Loving uncle to Renee Weiser Carr, Ken Weiser, the late Rick Weiser, Diane Snow, Robert (Bobby)Whitson, Gerry Whitson and the late Patricia Briggs, Brenda Miller and Dick Whitson.

John was born April 15, 1937, in Detroit Michigan. John attended Mackenzie high school. He started in the Plumbers union local 98 apprenticeship in 1955 and served his whole career as a plumber with Local 98 until retirement in1997.

John had a love for old cars, owning several thru the years and helping his sons with theirs. He loved snowmobiling, dune buggies', riding motorcycles, dirt bikes in his younger years to his Harley later in life. John had a love for antique collecting (some might not call it that) with Beverly. John Loved spending time with Beverly camping at their favorite spot in Harrisville, Michigan.

John was laid to rest with family August 15 at Glen Eden Memorial Park.
