James “Jim” Bergin passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026, in Farmington, Michigan. He was born on October 5, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Aloysius and Katherine Bergin.

Jim was the middle of three children and is survived by his sister; wife; his two daughters; two stepsons; and three grandchildren.

He enjoyed calligraphy, collecting coins and stamps, gardening, car shows, and watching sports and movies. For over 40 years, he took great pride in rebuilding his cherry red Porsche 356.

Jim was a warm and loving soul who will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Instate will be held at St. Gerald Catholic Church on Thursday, April 23 at 10:30 am, until the time of service at 11:00am
