Jill Marie Zielinski, of Farmington Hills, passed away Sunday Afternoon, June 22, 2025.

Born May 30, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Herbert and Loretta (Hebert) Burgess.

Loving wife of the late Nicholas; beloved mother to Robert and Michael (Mandy) Zielinski; caring sister of the late Gary and Neil Burgess; caring sister-in-law to Anne (John) Marten, Mary Lindow, Joan (Peter) Valentine; Cheryl Burgess and Debbie Burgess.  She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews as well.

Jill received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Michigan University and received her master’s in library science from Wayne State University.  After receiving her degree, she began her career working at Beaumont Royal Oak.  While working at Beaumont she was introduced to her future husband (Nicholas) by her coworker, and future sister-in-law, Mary.  Following the birth of their sons, Jill became a stay-at-home mom, and in her retirement, she regularly volunteered at the Farmington Community Library.

She enjoyed reading, British Mysteries, bird watching, and gardening.  One of her favorite places was the family cottage in Northern Michigan, where she would go to relax, garden, and watch the hummingbirds that she loved to feed.  She also enjoyed spending time with family, especially around the holidays.

She will be dearly missed by so many.
