James Patrick Chapman

James knew how to make people feel better even on their worst days. He made sure that each of us had our own special relationship with him. He knew how to make people feel safe, accepted and loved. He was passionate about the people and ideas he cared about. We will treasure all the memories we have with him and he will live on in our hearts forever. 

James Patrick Chapman is survived by his parents Carrie Henderson & Kirn Chapman, along with his stepmother Michelle, his sister and brother-in-law Sarah & Will Forman, Grammie Mary Jo Henderson, Grammy Jean Chapman, aunts and uncles, Carena Freeman, Lynn Evans, Brian and Jessie Chapman, John and Tammy Henderson, nephews & nieces, Harlem, Lorenzo, and Violet Cooper, Curran and Caleya Forman, his beloved girlfriend Camila Gavilan, as well as many extended family and close friends. 

James, you are so loved. The world will miss your beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. Who knew the heartbreak and loss you leaving would bring. We really hope you are at peace. We know you wouldn’t want all the posts, all the fuss, all this sadness, but love is something that you can’t turn off even when someone leaves. We love you, forever and a day. We will hold onto every memory. xoxo
