Herbert Buell, Jr., 83, loving husband and father of three children, went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2021. He was surrounded by family. Herbert was born on October 5, 1937, in Pineville (Bell County), Kentucky, to Herbert and Caroline Buell. He was one of nine siblings.

He attended Bell County High School in Pineville, Kentucky and enlisted in the US Navy immediately after and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. On October 21, 1960 he married Myrna Lynn Hoskins. They raised three daughters; Kimberly, Connie and Kristie, in Livonia, Michigan. He retired from Delco Chassis (GM) on March 3, 1993 after 28 years of service. Once retired, he was able to work full time on his outboard motor business. He loved working on outboard motors and was excellent at it.

He is survived by his wife Lynn; his three children: Kimberly (Paul) Spano, Connie (Thomas) Griswold and Kristie Bell; his four grandchildren: Charles Buell, Natasha (Chris) Robbins, Tracey (Glen) Salton and Shelby Spano; and 11 great- grandchildren; his sisters: Flo Knoth, Darlene (Roger) Bartley and Jean Kelly; his brothers: Ronnie (Connie) Buell and Donnie Buell; sister-n-law: Neetcie Buell; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Caroline Buell; sisters: Tevis Taylor and her husband Walt, Jeanette Casey and her husband Virgil; brother Otis Buell, brother -n- laws: James Kelly and Bob Knoth.   

Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021, from 2:00-8:00 pm at Thayer Rock Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Herbert will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:00 am, with final visiting from 9:00 am until the time of service at Thayer Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington 48335. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
