Gloria Wagner Obituary

Gloria Mae Wagner, age 100, ascended to join her Lord and Savior on May 28, 2022.

Born in Detroit, she was the younger of two daughters of Melbourne and Lucille Tibbitts.

Following graduation from Detroit Mackenzie High School, she worked at the David Whitney Building in downtown Detroit in the early 1940s as a legal secretary. On June 23, 1944, she married her high school sweetheart, Chuck Wagner, who was on leave from his post as staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps. Gloria and Chuck were married for 64 years until his death in 2008.

Loving mother of Jerry (Patricia) Wagner, Carol Wagner, and Charles (Julie) Wagner. Gloria was preceded in death by sons Charles Frederick Wagner (died at birth) and Thomas Wagner. Cherished grandmother of Suzanne Tedesco, Michael, David, Josh (deceased), Adam, Thomas (deceased), and Kendell Rea. She had nine great grandchildren in which she rejoiced.

A funeral service honoring Gloria will take place at 11:30 a.m. on June 9, 2022, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington, Michigan (1 blk. west of Farmington Rd.).  Interment will be at 3:00 pm.at Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the World War II Museum or the Salvation Army are encouraged.
