Genevieve Sophie Pilon Obituary

Genevieve Sophie Pilon, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the age of 100 years old in Brighton, Michigan.

Genevieve (Jean) Pilon was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1924. She was raised by two amazing parents who immigrated from Lithuania and provided an incredible home life of family and laughter. Jean was always the life of the party and brought such joy to those she touched. From the early years of being a wonderful Girl Scout leader to raising an dynamic family to running Dairy Queens with her husband Al and working as a tour escort with Al, Jean always lived life to the fullest. We are all convinced she is playing Euchre or Mahjong with those amazing people in heaven.

Jean’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love of life and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Jean is survived by her son Tom of West Bloomfield, Michigan, her son Ron and his wife Gail of Brighton, Michigan, her daughter Sue Wilmoth and husband Kenn of Lexington, South Carolina and her son Mike and his husband Chuck Ray of Cape Neddick, Maine. And additionally, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert Pilon in 2003. Additionally, her mother Anele Skodis , father Kazimer Salits and brother Brownie Saltis.

As we say goodbye to Jean, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to family, a testament to the life she lived, and the countless lives she touched.
