Gayle Lynne McCreedy

McCreedy, Gayle Lynne, age 65, of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Gayle was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 10, 1958, to parents Elmer and Winifred (Deckard) McCreedy. Gayle was dedicated to her career, earning her Bachelor’s Degree at Wayne State University and her Master’s Degree from Garrett Theological Seminary. Gayle was an Academic Advisor at Wayne State University where she guided students for over 41 years. In her spare time, Gayle loved to garden, watch Sci-Fi and crime movies, play old school video games, and spend time outdoors. She was an avid fan of David Bowie and an animal lover. Gayle will be remembered for being an amazing and caring mother. Proud mother of Alexander and Peter Buchta; Stepmother of Devin (McKenzie) Holmes and grandmother of Calvin, Kate, Elizabeth, and Grant Holmes. Dear sister of Richard (Elizabeth) McCreedy and Ronald (Kathy) McCreedy, Beloved aunt of Christine, Ellen, Ann, Jennifer, and Shaun McCreedy. Gayle was loved by many and will be missed deeply. 

A memorial service and luncheon for Gayle will be held at Wayne State University at McGregor Conference Center on Tuesday October 10th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
