Emil Andrew Tomkovich of Novi, Michigan passed away July 31, 2022 at the age of 96.

He was born June 26, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to Andrew and Magdalena Tonkovich.

Beloved husband of Jane Ann (Knight) Tomkovich for 67 years. Loving father of Mark (Lisa) and Mike (Cheri). Dearest grandfather of Megan (Brian), Mathew (Lauren), Sarah, Steven (Ashley), and Stacey (ViVi). Cherished great-grandfather of Walter, Owen Patrick, and Owen Christopher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Emil was preceded in death by his siblings Anne (Joseph), Margaret (Norbert), and Andrew (Dorothy) and cherished great-granddaughter Avery.

Emil was a proud WWII Veteran who served in the US Navy. He retired from Ford Motor Company as an Electrician and Plant Engineer after 43 years of dedicated service. Emil met Jane at Ford and they had a wonderful life together. Emil was a devoted family man who always kept busy taking care of his family and working around the house and yard as well as helping out family and friends. He had a great sense of humor. Emil enjoyed golf, softball, ice skating, swimming, boating, tennis, camping, and photography. In retirement Emil and Jane lived in Naples and Sun City, Florida for 16 years. They traveled in their motor home and summered in Michigan to be close to their grandkids.

Private family services will be held. Emil will be missed by his family and friends. Thank you for keeping Emil in your thoughts and prayers.
