Eleanor (Panasiak) Telega

Eleanor Mary Telega (nee Panasiak) passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, of 65 years. Together they had four daughters: Marlene, Beverly (Christopher), Janice (Dennis), and Patricia, “Patty”. Eleanor was proud Baci and Grandma to Michelle, Crystal, Heather, Jessica, Emily, Camille, Christopher, Alyssa and Alex. 

 Eleanor was a strong, caring, independent woman with a keen sense of humor who loved and devoted her life to her family, especially caring and advocating for her beloved Patty. Eleanor and Patty were always together; wherever one went, the other followed.   

Eleanor was a great bowler; at one time belonging to three leagues during one season. She was a devout Catholic and a breast cancer survivor. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, doing ceramics, listening to and dancing the polka, cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, and celebrating the holidays with the traditional Polish customs.  

Above all, Eleanor was the matriarch of her family, always giving, always caring and always loving them. She is and will forever be greatly missed.
