Douglas (Doug) Richard Ward born June 17, 1938 and transitioned to Heaven December 30, 2025. Born in Detroit Michigan to parents Douglas & Helen Ward(deceased). He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1967 as a Radio Specialist. Married the love of his life Marion Jean Endres(deceased 2020) December 23, 1961 and lived in South Lyon since 1977. Daughters Diane McCabe (Ward)(deceased 2015), Son-in-Law Mark McCabe, grandchildren Carolyn Dietrich (McCabe) husband Zach, Kevin McCabe. Daughter Janice Bradford (Ward) Husband Bryan Bradford. Doug worked over 36 years for Michigan Bell/AT&T, loved the outdoors, he was known as the dog whisperer and left a legacy of serving our Lord in numerous capacities and was a member of Brightmoor Christian Church since 1962.
Visitation will be held January 7th at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home 33603 Grand River Ave. Farmington, MI 48335, from 4pm to 8pm
Viewing January 8th, at 10am and Going Home Service will be at 11am with luncheon to follow at Brightmoor Christian Church 40800 W. 13 Mile Rd. Novi, Michigan 48377, services will be available online at Brightmoorchurch.org
