Dolores Patricia Lypka

Dolores Patricia Lypka of Farmington Hills, Michigan, born October 15, 1939, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2026. 

Beloved mother to Michael S. (wife Christie), Laura (partner John Sotos), and Andrew (wife Jaqueline). 

Cherished grandmother to Matthew (wife Joslyn), Mark (wife Lindsey), Jessica, and Jennifer. Step-grandmother to Scott Kleinpeter (wife Lindsey). 

Dear great-grandmother to Mason and Miles. Step great-grandmother to Riley, Zayne, and Emilia. 

Dolores was predeceased by her parents Edward and Frances Halik and her beloved husband of 54 years, Michael M. Lypka. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335. 

A Mass for Dolores will be held at St. Gerald Catholic Church, 21300 Farmington Rd., Farmington, Michigan 48336, on Thursday, August 6, 2026  at 11:00 am. 

Burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights will immediately follow Mass. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to W.K. Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
