David J. West

David J. West of St. Clair Shores passed away suddenly on May 10, 2023 at the age of 68.  He was born August 31, 1954 in Highland Park, Michigan to Jack West and Jacqualyn Tuckfield.  Dear step-son of Gini West.  Beloved brother of Diane (David) Nelson and Eric (Cheryl) West.  Dearest step-brother of Steve Slasor, Michael (Anne) Slasor, Ron Slasor, Scott (Landa) Slasor, William (Kim) Tuckfield Jr., and Jeff (Linda) Tuckfield.  Cherished uncle of Angela (Corey) Beals, Bryon (Cori) Hughes, the late Jason Coffel, Brad Coffel, and Keith (Janaina) West.  Also survived by many great-nieces and a great-nephew.  David was predeceased by his parents Jack West and Jacqualyn Tuckfield.  David proudly served in the US Navy.  A memorial gathering will take place Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4-7 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335.  Military Honors and a time for reflection will begin at 7 pm.
