David DePodesta

Dave was born on October 6, 1941 to Arthur and Norma DePodesta (deceased) in Detroit, MI.  He died peacefully on February 8, 2022 in Beaumont Hospital (Troy, MI) with his family by his side.  Dave is survived by his loving wife Gail (Anger) of 49 years, children Tracie and partner Chris Campbell, Cedarwood, GA; and Arthur and Wendy (Pratt), Covington, LA; sister Diane Dart-Baden and husband Bob; sister-in-law Flo and George Hargraves.  Grandchildren Hollie, Dean, David (Sylar), Rogue; many nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues. 

Following his service in the U.S. Army, he joined his father and uncles in the steel industry.  Later in life his career shifted to commercial real estate where he enjoyed a valued partnership with Jim Mitchell. 

David enjoyed tennis, water and snow skiing, golf, and classical music.  His passions were his family and he enjoyed cooking and entertaining.  His work ethic; relentless drive; love of family and giving nature will always be cherished and never forgotten.

In honor of Dave’s wishes cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Dave’s life will take place at a later date this spring.
