Camille Lehane

Camille Roberta Lehane (née Szwarc), of Farmington Hills, entered eternal life on January 22, 2026 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Lehane and mother of Paula (Richard) Thibideau, Suzanne (Peter) Skorich, and Michele (Lawrence) Liotino. A proud grandmother of Sarah (Kyle) Newood, John, David, and Matthew Thibideau; Nicholas, Grace Liotino; and great‑grandmother of Eleanor and Theodore Newood.

Born to John and Eleanor Szwarc, Camille was the cherished sister of the late Ernest (Charlotte), the late Carl (Gerry), and Gregory (Yvonne) Szwarc. Affectionately known as “Kim” to Kathleen (Richard) Farris, Daniel (Kathleen) Lehane, Thomas Lehane, and the late Diane (Albert) Rayha, and friend, Suzanne Duke.

Her life was rooted in faith, service, and community. Camille embodied the richness of the Polish Catholic culture and tradition attending Assumption B.V.M. and Felician Academy where she made lifelong friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace, St. Patrick’s Parish - White Lake, and St. Colette. She served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister, funeral Sacristan, and parish volunteer.  She also focused her energy on the Rosary Altar Society, Guest House, Knights of Columbus - Thomas A. Dooley Council, Angela Hospice, Madonna University, Sweetest Heart of Mary - Pierogi Festival, West Side Detroit Polish American Historical Society, and the Festival of Trees. She was a volunteer for the City of Farmington Hills on multiple elections. She instituted the “Ice Cream Social” for her beloved neighbors who were dear to her.

Camille and Mike created a great life for themselves, their children, and grandchildren. Camille most loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 2-7 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335. 

Instate Monday, January 26, 2026 from 9:30 am until 10:00 am Mass celebrating Camille’s life at St. Colette Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd., Livonia, Michigan

Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, Michigan.
