Age 78. William was born December 20, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Nevin and Mildred Hummon. He graduated from Mackenzie High School, Detroit in 1952 and Michigan State University in 1957 with a Civil Engineering degree. He met and fell in love with his wife, Norma (Markt) Hummon over ice cream at Rose's Drug Store during their high school days.

They enjoyed many years of motor home outings with the Monson Travelcade for whom he served numerous times as Wagon Master. He also loved hunting, fishing and participating in events with his friends in Mackenzie's "After 50" Alumni group. He was the owner of W. R. Hummon & Associates, a manufacturer representative firm until his retirement.

William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma; children, Susan (Michael) Beebe and Wendy (Richard)Silletti; grandchildren, John and Debi Beebe, Maria and Natalie Silletti; his twin brother Robert G. Hummon (the late Carol); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4th at 11 a.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Rev. Mark Jensen officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, September 3rd from 3-9 p.m.

Interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills.
