Age 90. Beloved husband of Eleanor for 65 years. He loved his family first, foremost and always. Devoted father of daughters Marlene Walczak , Beverly (Christopher) Douglas, Janice (Dennis) Millinoff and Patricia. Loving Papa to: Michelle, Crystal, Heather, Jessica, Emily, Camille , Christopher, Alyssa and Alex. Great-grandpa to five.

Walter worked for Chrysler Corporation as a skilled tradesman for 45 years. He was an active member of Father Kramer Knights of Columbus Council and an usher at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Walter loved bowling, fishing and playing cards; but mostly he loved being with his family and friends.

Visitation Thursday, August 29th, from 2-9 p.m. (Knights of Columbus Rosary 7 p.m.) at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Funeral Friday, August 30th, 10 a.m. Mass (in state 9:30 a.m.) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Road, Farmington, MI 48336. Rev. Fr. Paul Snyder will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W. Ten Mile Road, Southfield, MI.
