Timothy Michael Yount was born in Glouster, Ohio. His parents were Marie Smith Yount and Walter Yount. Tim is survived by Janis, his wife for over 27 years; his children Michael, Rodney (Michelle) and Theresa. He has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Timothy was the youngest of eight children; Mariann Traylor, Martha (Walter) Ryzdon, Elizabeth (Jerry) Gmerek, Carolyn (Jerry) Miller, Rosa Lee Yount, Helen Yono and James Yount. His only surviving sibling is his sister Helen Yono; and is also survived by brother-in-law Jerry Miller., in-laws Robin (Gary) Ray, Kay (Leslie) Luark, Alan (Michelle) Ray; and many many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great-nephews.
