Timothy Michael Draplin of Troy, Michigan passed away early Friday morning, December 25, 2020, after spending a holiday evening with his family.

Tim was born on November 29, 1958 to Thomas and Barbara Draplin. A lifelong learner, he received a Master of History degree from Wayne State University and had a continuous passion for history throughout his life. Tim was an avid reader and collector of historical books and always had knowledge to share with those around him. He was a hard worker and enjoyed a long and varied career working for W.B. Doner advertising company, Michigan Consolidated Gas, Mini Cooper, and most recently, BMW car company. In addition to his interest in history and his work, Tim loved to fish and spend time with his family.

Tim is preceded in death by his twin brother, Kevin. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Barbara; his brothers, Thomas, Michael, and Patrick; his sister-in-law Tracey; his nieces Ella and Rachel and his nephews Owen and Eric. He is remembered as a loving son, a caring brother, an amusing uncle, and someone who constantly offered laughter, compassion, and love to his family.

A memorial mass for Tim will be held privately at Christ the Good Shepherd Old Catholic Church in Berkley, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please honor his life with direct memorial donations in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
