"Steve" Marshall died Friday, September 29th at 61 years of age.
Beloved father of Laura, friend of Susan.
Dear son of Ken (the late Mary) Marshall, loved brother of Dr. Susan (Pat) Hayes, the late Mike (Mercedes) Marshall, Sandra "Sam", Nancy (the late Roy) Williams, John Marshall and Mary Kay (Matt) Stelling. Dear uncle to Donovan Eleo (Gina), Kenneth Keala, Elliott Kapono (Amy) Marshall, Thomas and Julia Williams and Jonathon and Melanie Stelling. Great-uncle to Duke Levan Marshall.

Steve was the 4th oldest of 7 children, born in Detroit, Michigan. At 18 months old, he suffered a childhood illness that afflicted his hearing, causing him to become heard-of-hearing. He wore a hearing aide from the age of 3 on and was proficient at sign language and lip reading his whole life. Steve attended Detroit Day School for the Deaf, St. Rita High School for the Deaf in Ohio and graduated from Servite High School in Detroit. He worked construction and welding most of his life. Steve was a throat cancer survivor since 1997.
