Age 90, of Brighton. Born August 17, 1923, in Mohawk, Michigan. Daughter of the late Nestor and Anna (nee Loukusa) Kariniemi.

A graduate of Calumet High School, Class of 1941. Signe was united in marriage to Norman Henry Nelson on October 28, 1943. Signe was a member of the First
Apostolic Lutheran Church of Howell.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Werner, Dan (Helen Ruonavaara), Albert, and Paul and sister Hulda (Otto) Hermanson.

Survived by sisters-in-law Betty (Saarela) Kariniemi and Gladys (Halonen) Kariniemi and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Friday, March 7th 11 a.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 2970 Oak Grove, Howell. Pastor Don Pennala officiating. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service at the Church, beginning at 10 a.m.
