Sharon M.
Ford
Jan 22, 1948 — Oct 26, 2020
Sharon M. Ford, age 72, passed away Monday morning October 26th surrounded by loved ones in Brighton MI. Sharon was born January 22, 1948 to the Eslick family. Life complications forced Sharon and her 5 siblings (John, Ken, Dennis(deceased), Rebecca and Cory) to be placed within Orphanages or with other families. She would soon become Sharon Marie Mettie, until she met the love of her life Tom and found herself part of a loving family with Parents-in-Law Arnold (deceased) & Carol(deceased), Brothers-in-Law Michael(deceased) and Jack as well as Sisters-in-Law Cynthia and Sharon. She would soon start the family of her dreams.
Sharon is survived by her 4 children Carol (David) Garnsey, Tom (Ann) Ford, Andrea (Peter) Favilla and Diane (Gregory) Miller. Sharon's children were proud to follow in some of her academic footsteps. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran School in Farmington Hills and Farmington High School Class of 1967. She was quite the softball player and loved to tell stories of overachieving at bat with subsequent broken windows as proof.
Sharon stayed at home raising her children and maintaining the household as the Family Business T&M Companies was sprouting. She managed through the financial difficulties in creative ways as the business was getting started to ensure all were healthy, happy and well taken care of. Sharon also happily volunteered serving school lunches at St. Paul's, where all the students called her Mom.
Despite parting ways later in life, Sharon and Tom maintained a good relationship and enjoyed supporting their children as well as their 9 grandchildren Madison, Hannah, Jordan, John, Alexandra, Laura, Louis, Riley and Avery.
Sharon had a very creative vision and could create something beautiful from nothing. She loved Animals, Gardening, Home Improvement and Family Holidays and of course, the Annual BBQ. Sharon's favorite adventures included Black Friday Shopping with her daughters/grand-daughters and trips to Zehnder's in Frankenmuth.
In Lieu of the standard Funeral protocol and Covid-19, There will be a celebration of life next Summer, the traditional Sharon Ford BBQ of which the family will provide details later.
Memorial donations can be made to the Livingston County Humane Society in Howell, MI or the Michigan Humane Society via their website.
