Age 67. Beloved husband of Barbara for 43 years. Loving father of Richard (Angie) Roy and Wendy (Bill) Merschman. Cherished grandfather of Cassie, Ricky and Kody. Survived by his many siblings, family, and friends.

Russell enjoyed building, was an avid Tigers baseball fan, motorcycle enthusiast, and was always ready to help his neighbors, friends, and family with roofing projects, or anything they needed. He was a proud Army Veteran and member of Don Hubert V.F.W. Post #345.

Funeral Service 1 p.m. Monday, September 9th, at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Rev. Dr. Victor F. Halboth of Grace Lutheran Church, Redford will officiate.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service.

Burial with Army Military Honors will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12th, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442.
