Age 84. Born in Kearsarge, Michigan. Beloved husband of the late Elsie (Lahti). Loving father of Kathryn (Tom) Kozak, Gordon (Mary Lou), Dennis, Karen (Bill) Strobridge, and the late John. Proud grandfather of Kevin, Graham, Paige, and Austin. Brother of Thelma Mistele, and Gordon Usitalo. Predeceased by parents Isaac and Anna Usitalo and his eight siblings.

Robert is a U.S. Navy Veteran, and retired from the University of Detroit. The family appreciates the caring staff at Courtyard Manor of Farmington Hills.

Funeral Wednesday 11 a.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Pastor Bob Hegdal officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
