Obituary

Loving Father, Husband, Son, Brother and Friend left us all far too soon on Monday, November 2, 2009.

He was born on April 24, 1962 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Rob was an avid golfer, bowler and loved his work, but his most proud possession was his daughter, Cassandra Marie (Cassie).

Rob received a Broadcasting degree from Central Michigan University in 1987. He continued to be a huge Chippewa fan and gave his time to mentor the new generation of broadcast graduates through his alumni association. He was also one of the biggest Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan known around the state.

Rob was a Freelance Videotape and EVS Operator working primarily in Sports Television production. His most notable accomplishments were working many years of NHL (National Hockey League) broadcasts for ESPN, TSN and Versus, the Ultimate Championship Fighting (UCF) as well as ESPN's coverage of Grand Slam Tennis at Wimbledon, the French Open, the Australian Open and the US Open. He was currently involved with College Football for ESPN.

Rob was known and respected for his dedication to his craft, his professionalism, his loyalty and for using his wit and wisdom to make the often stressful environment of the TV truck more tolerable. He will be remembered for his ability to tell a great story and he always made you smile when you were with him. He will be dearly missed not only by his family but by the many friends and colleagues he knew all over the globe.
