Rachel was born on November 29, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frederick and Gertrude (Horger) Gleason. Wife of the late Leonard John Churches and dearest Mother of David (Sheryl McNutt); the late James; Thomas (Mary Cioma) (the late LouAnn Williams); Josephine (Daniel) Clements; Paul (Angela Rakowski); Edward (Michelle Molnar); Joseph (Diane Doersam) and Mary.

Loving Grandmother of Jeffrey (Sara Killian); James (Kristen Camp); Matthew, Mark, Jennifer (Scott) Vanheest; Jonathan (Amanda Reichard); Jaime (Ivan Mahanic); Edward (Megan Mapes); Andrew; Lindsay and Kylie.

Great Grandmother of Brandon, Benjamin; Abigail, Adam and Andrew; and Caleb and Corbin VanHeest.

Sister of the late James Gleason; George Gleason; Josephine Connell-Bush; Marjorie Whalen-Sprenger; Jean Kelly and Mary Catherine Tobin. Aunt and Great-Aunt to numerous nephews and nieces including Amanda Ruedisueli, Sam Prunkard and Savannah Ruedisueli and Josh Ruedisueli (Alison Nagy) Camden and Mason Ruedisueli.

Retired from Providence Hospital, Southfield. The last Matriarch of 357+ decedents.
