Age 91 of Plymouth. Beloved husband for 62 years to the late Lorraine. Dear father of Anne Cheney (Stuart Mitchell), Marcia Cheney (Arthur Larsen) and Peggy Bogart (Robert). Loving grandfather of Lynn Larsen (Zac Abeel), Greg Larsen and Bill Mitchell. Lloyd worked on war research at Johns Hopkins University on the variable timing fuse. He was a Professor of Civil Engineering at Wayne State University (1948 - 1982). A lifetime member of the Engineering Society of Detroit, he was instrumental in developing the Civil Engineering refresher program. He was the Past President and Board Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In retirement he remained active as a consulting engineer. Lloyd was a member of the Wayne Choral Union and active in the St. Scholastica and Holy Family Church choirs. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, July 24th at 11 AM at Holy Family Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Rd., Novi (N. of 10 Mile Rd.). The family will receive friends starting at 10 AM. Officiant Fr.
